Nature
Danube, Parks & Nature
Right on the Danube, with Klenzepark and the Glacis green belt: Ingolstadt is surprisingly green and ideal for walking and cycling.
Between the historic walls and the Danube there is plenty of greenery – perfect for unwinding after a day’s work or getting active at the weekend.
Along the Danube
The Danube flows right through the middle of Ingolstadt. Paths along the banks invite you to walk and jog, and the Danube Cycle Path leads directly through the city – ideal for a tour into the surrounding countryside.
Klenzepark & Glacis
Klenzepark on the southern side of the Danube is an expansive green space created for the State Garden Show. Around the old town runs the Glacis green belt – a former fortification area, today a connected park to breathe deeply in.
Tip: Many of our guests hire a bike and combine a city stroll with a Danube tour. Sturdy shoes are enough; the paths are flat and well surfaced.
